Refined but the poor ride spoils it

My 1.0l DSG T-Cross ultimately disappoints because the ride is unacceptably fidgety and bumpy on anything other than very smooth roads. The small 3-cylinder engine is remarkably quiet, smooth and yet adequately powerful. It sounds great when pressed. Fuel economy, while not exceptional is OK. The DSG gearbox is astoundingly good - very refined, anticipating my needs extremely well (I hope that it proves to be reliable??). The dashboard plastics are, as is frequently reported, rather nasty but otherwise the car handles well, is adequately roomy and feels safe. But it is the poor ride that ultimately makes me regret purchasing the T-Cross..
