Elite 2.0 CDTi 165 Start/Stop 2dr Convertible

It's a luxury car with a soft top, and not a sports car

I had read all the reviews before test driving one, and in turn buying one. I have the Elite with a sat nav and 20" wheels. The book price being £31250, however I bought mine pre reg for £21500. I believe part of the reason for this is that Vauxhall are dropping the 2 ltr diesel engine at some point.

Firstly the annoying points. I find it strange that a top of the range model lacks so many toys. No front parking sensors, no standard sat nav, no parking camera, no electric seats, no voice activated bluetooth and no headlamp washes. That said, it has a few nice touches, such as the seat belt presenters and the heated steering wheel.

So what is great about the car. It looks stunning, and in my opinion better than the Audi A5. The 2 ltr engine is refined when warm, is reasonably quick, and very economical. On a run I get about 55 mpg, and on average about 48 mpg. The suspension set up is brilliant, and the seats are incredibly comfortable. Long runs in the Cascada are a pleasure. It is not a sports car, but I never expected it to be. The Cascada is a cruiser, and a beautiful car to drive. Some critics criticise the steering for being to light and not having enough feed back, but I would say unless you want to drive it like an i****, the steering is one of it's greatest assets. In a month of owning mine, I have only seen one other, so the rarity adds to the pleasure of owning one. I haven't met anyone as yet who is not impressed by the car, and I can see the jealousy in their eyes when I show it to them.

I would say that if your bothered by badges, spend another £10k and buy the Audi, but if you want a beautiful and well made car that turns heads, buy a Cascada.
