1.2 Puretech 110 Active EAT6 Start+Stop 5dr

New engine required having done less than 50,000.

I bought my Peugeot from the dealership, 4 years old, 40000+ miles on the clock. On paper it looked great and is a nice little run around but as a 1,2 doesn't quite have the oomph it could do with.
2 weeks after driving it home the engine oil top up light came on and for the next few months went off and on advising of low oil levels. Long and short of it it ate up oil to the point that it went back to Peugeot numerous times. I was advised to run it for 600 miles to check consumption - 200 miles later it went back again and I'm now awaiting a brand new engine.....on a car that is 4 years old with less than 50,000 miles. Feeling supremely lucky that it's under warranty. Numerous forums comment on the excessive oil consumption of this vehicle so buyer beware. Will see how it pans out with new engine but to be honest i'm already thinking of trading it back in for a Volvo........
