So much potential wrecked by Nissan Customer Services experience

Generally the car is good, bus some aspects seem to be poorly thought through. This is the top of the range Tekna, bit there is no low washer fluid warning light. The maps in the built in SatNav were out of date when new, Nissan expect the customer to pay for updates. The routing capability is hopeless. The performance is poor for a 150bhp car, with no power below 2000rpm add in the awful ride on 18 inch rims and I'm afraid "urban cruiser" it ain't!

The interior has rattles galore, which the dealer can never reproduce. Tailgate rattle eventually cured with tape around the catch. Centre console lid rattle meant new part ordered by dealer. Wrong part sent, right part never appeared.

The big issue: After a few months the car began idling poorly, but Nissan have been hopeless at sorting it out- eventually falling back on "they all do that", despite the fact that my car didn't used to! The dealership claimed they could do nothing except provide a comparison car - which Nissan Customer Services refused to provide, and the dealers "couldn't find one".

The experience has been dismal - I would never buy another Nissan under any circumstances. So yes, the Qashqai may be excellent if you get a good one, but if you have problems don't expect any sympathy from Nissan.
