Different and desirable but not faultless

I've had this car from new since December 2007 so have given it a fair crack of the whip. When I first drove it I loved the high driving position and refinement but didn't want to spend on a 4x4 so it fitted the bill nicely.

Good points
Fit and finish excellent
Nice chunky looks, feels a bit different
High driving position but drive not significantly compromised
Like the styling
Comfy but small seats
Practical, good boot
Nice dashboard
1.6 OK on petrol but nothing great
Eats potholes for lunch
Nice to drive, good forward visibility

Bad points
Plenty of warranty claims, three sets of rear shockers fitted. plastic trim fell off, front wheel bearing replaced
New grinding noise on full lock sounds expensive!
Terrible in snow/ice, no grip on inclines due to fat tyres and light front end
Rear vision compromised
Heavy car 1.6 struggles a tad
Alloys prone to corrosion, had three replaced under warranty, but fresh evidence of new corrosion
Parts dead expensive
Cant get in car when very cold outside, front door lock freeze, have to leave unlocked
The heating system is dire. Takes ages to defrost the screen

All in all I really like this car but it hasn't been as reliable as I expected from my first Nissan. Not sure I'd buy another Nissan.
