Comfortable cruiser which has had some problems

Bought car after retirement intending to keep it for a number of years hoping for trouble free comfort. New alloys replaced within one year die to rust; rust claim of bonnet rejected but after a fight with Lexus UK remedial paid for in total plus a bit extra (now look at every RX to see if rust is there and on many it is, so a problem not just with mine); rear hub carrier required at 37,000 miles to pass 4 year MOT in May 10 - almost £500, but Lexus paid 1/3, dealer 1/3 and I paid 1/3. Front tyres lasted 30,000 - Bridgestone. Rear tyres still original at 38,000 miles. Get 30mpg plus on long run but rarely less that 27mpg. Unless road tax rises to an insufferable amount, will keep car for another 3/4 years. Generally pleased with it, but disappointed at the rust etc.
