Overall reliability

A smooth, quiet car to drive with a quality feel about the whole package.

This new version of the Cee'd is a far superior car to the older models. It handles well over all surfaces with little road noise. It is practical & economical. We tow our small caravan with it and have loaded all sorts of stuff into the rear load space when the seat has been lowered. It is very economical, giving a true 57mpg or thereabouts with our normal driving, but can get up to 64 mpg on long motorway hauls sitting at 65mph. The heating and ventilation are excellent and can cope with cold Scottish winters. The car has been very reliable, no issues so far after 12000 miles and 1 year of ownership. Niggles-the boot is slightly shorter than our old Cee'd, there is no engine temperature gauge, you need to click on a steering wheel drop down menu for it to be displayed in the speedo area. Not a good idea, you shouldn't need to fiddle or take your eyes off the road. However there are other gizmos that are clever and an aid to safety--the extra light that comes on when turning a sharp corner-excellent. Overall, a very pleasant car to own and drive, highly recommend it, and with a 7 Year Warranty, better than you get with a Merc!
