Great

To reply to the comment about the driver's seat, on the model Laureate it does have height adjustment, this is the one of the options why the less equipped models are cheaper! On the second point, the 1.5 diesel is fitted in cars all over the world and it has never been famous for the belt snapping as long as you replace it within the specified time.

This car is as good as any other mainstream manufacturer, it's just not got the snobbery attached to it. (Remember Skoda, Seat etc. 15 years ago). They are designed to withstand the very bad roads and temperatures in eastern europe, africa, india etc and can cope with western european roads more than adequately.

I live in Switzerland and you see Dacias everywhere, as well as in Germany and France. They were voted most reliable car in Europe 2011 by 30,000 drivers. It's natural that people in the
UK are still sceptical but I didn't hesitate to make the choice.
The car drives extremely well, the body roll is well contained and the interior is well put together and very spacious. Don't forget that normal people are not test drivers looking for the slightest niggle! It also has 4 years warranty/roadside assistance, and parts are from Renault so plentiful and cheap.

If you want to pay 10,000 more for say German well known brands be my guest but if you research the breakdown statistics in Europe (ADAC for example - pannenstatistik 2012) these manufacturers are still hanging on to a reputation from 15 years ago.
