3.0 BiTDI quattro 313 5dr Auto

Absolutely superb all-purpose vehicle, with few issues over 300,000km.

This is the 5th A6 Allroad I've had; she's far and away the best (previous ones were the older 2.5 litre model, good in their day but prone to airbag issues).
You'll have read about all the good things - interior design, bi-turbo torque, 2.5T towing, etc etc.
Well, in 2023 mine has now travelled all over UK from Cape Wrath to W Cornwall, Pembrokeshire to Folkestone. And in 2022 she took me to the Italian Dolomites and back, 3,000km and zero problems.
250km/hour on Autobahns? No problem, sir. But it's not a great idea, 150km/h is easier on car, driver and fuel.
Has she been free to keep? No of course not. But the suspension is 100% original, as are the turbos, ECUs, gearbox etc etc. We've replaced all 6 injectors at £3,000 at about 250,000km (I prefer km to m). And obviously lots of wearing parts, like discs and tyres.
I use an excellent small Audi specialist where there is no Service Reception and no posh coffee. No coffee in fact. And a battered dirty Polo, if you are lucky to find it available. But they know their trade and the mechanics drive A6s daily.
I would hesitate to pull more than 2,000kg with her, so I use a big 3.5T van for a 2,500kg rowing boat trailer. You just do not want all that weight swinging like a pendulum, so I have not risked it. Yet.
A word on the performance - it is absolutely ample for all real-world situations. We now laugh at any supercar unless it has a real pro driver; you can take out lines of 6-10 vehicles on decent single carriageways and leave everyone scratching their heads - it's just a diesel estate car, after all.
If Audi still made them, I'd have another new one tomorrow.
