Ford seeks new advanced apprentices

Published 25 April 2014

Ford is seeking candidates for a series of new higher level apprenticeships, including advanced apprenticeships in engineering and degree-level apprenticeships in engineering, finance and IT. Ford hires around 450 apprentices into its dealer network each year.

The higher apprenticeship in engineering includes a degree-level qualification and encompasses training at the Centre for Engineering and Manufacturing Excellence(CEME) in Essex, Ford’s Dunton Technical Centre and at the University of Greenwich Medway Campus.

Ford is also offering higher apprenticeships in IT, providing the option of a further Bachelor of Science degree in IT Management for Business. There is also a higher apprenticeship in finance, leading to a Diploma in Business Accounting.

Tessa Hougham, apprenticeship manager, Ford of Britain, said: “Ford’s expanding range of apprenticeship programmes will provide even more young, talented individuals with the opportunity to earn and learn at the same time, and ensures that Ford continues to recruit the best people for these highly-skilled roles.”
