Published 25 March 2015

TomTom has introduced a free version of its Go mobile phone navigation app, which includes traffic alerts. Free users can use the app to navigate up to 50 miles per month, or can upgrade to a full, unlimited subscription for £14.99 per year, or £34.99 for three years.

Users of the existing TomTom Go app will be able to upgrade to the new one with a three year membership at a cost of 50p.

The new app uses the same interface as the latest full-sized, purpose-built TomTom Go navigation systems and includes offline mapping, speed camera warnings and mapping for 111 countries worldwide. The app is available now on the Google Play Store.
