Volkswagen Golf GTE - on sale February 2017
There's a new Golf coming in 2017. Well, it's not new - as you can tell from the pictures it's merely a facelift, although Volkswagen likes to say that it's got lots of new bits. They include a new infotainment system and the option of digital instruments - like Audi's virtual dash. Snazzy.
The GTE version continues as before as sort of a 'sporty' hybrid with 204PS and a GTI rivalling 350Nm of torque, all from a 1.4-litre TSI petrol engine. As before though, it will be expensive to buy new...

Thanks for the info. on hybrids. I will be looking for a raised height , preferably 4 WD , auto, similar to my Honda CRV , or a little smaller. Am I asking for the impossible ?Austin
