Audi A8 revised with higher equipment levels and new Sport trim

Published 29 April 2015

Audi has updated the A8 range, with more power, lower emissions and higher levels of standard equipment, plus a new Sport trim level. The revised A8 is priced from £59,585 and is available to order now.

The 3.0-litre TDI diesel engine has been tweaked to deliver an extra 4PS, up to 262PS. Despite the power increase, emissions are down from 155g/km to 149g/km and economy is up slightly to 49.6mpg. The 4.2-litre V8 diesel has also been improved, with an emissions reduction from 194g/km to 189g/km.

A new short wheelbase only Sport trim level has been added, replacing the previous Sport Executive. It includes 19-inch wheels, MatrixBeam LED headlights, a 600-watt BOSE audio system and a higher mobile phone preparation grade, giving improved functionality including a WiFi hotspot. That is over and above the standard equipment, which includes leather upholstery and MMI with navigation.

Sport models, available from June, also benefit from styling based on the flagship S8. As before, all models get quattro all-wheel drive and four-mode adaptive air suspension.
