All new BMWs to have navigation as standard

Published 29 April 2015

Every model in the BMW range will be sold with sat nav as part of the standard equipment by the end of 2015.

From July the 2 Series and 2 Series Active Tourer will be supplied with nav as standard, while the 1 Series and 2 Series Coupe will have standard navigation from September.

All models will have a 6.5-inch screen with iDrive controller and traffic message channel, though this can be upgraded to the larger 8.8-inch screen with Professional Navigation. The cost to upgrade has been reduced on 1 Series and 2 Series models, to between £900 and £1395 depending on the variant.
