Volkswagen spices Up range with two special editions

Published 15 January 2015

Volkswagen has launched two special versions of the Up - the Street Up and Club Up. The two new editions get bespoke styling, new paint options and extra equipment as standard. Order books are open now, with prices starting from £11,995.

Based on High Up trim, the two new versions will cost an extra £610 to buy, but provide a range or additional features.

The Street Up (pictured above) adds yellow stripes, tinted glass and 16-inch Upsilon alloy wheels. Available in Peal Black or Reflect Silver, the Street gets a number in interior enhancements, with special scuff plates, black roof lining and “Street” cloth upholstery.

The Club Up (pictured below) adds 16-inch Triangle alloy wheels and can be finished in either Blueberry metallic (unique to the Club trim) or Black Pearl paint. The Club also gets bespoke exterior badging, along with tinted glass, black roof lining and “Club” Tartan Tonic cloth upholstery.

Both cars are powered by the Up’s most powerful three-cylinder 1.0-litre petrol engine, with 75PS, linked to a five-speed manual 'box. The 1.0-litre unit will produce 95Nm of torque and emit 108g/km of CO2, while fuel economy is a claimed 60.1mpg.

Prices for the Street Up and Club Up start at £11,995, for three-door models, while five-door variants will cost from £12,370.
