Extra standard equipment for revised Mazda CX-5, due Spring

Mazda’s revised CX-5 goes in sale in Spring and gains extra standard equipment, including an electronic parking brake and a new infotainment system. The revised car is priced from £22,295, rising to £30,595.

Standard equipment is enhanced across the board, with all models getting an updated 7-inch touchscreen system. This includes a DAB radio, USB connection and MZD connect, which allows users to connect to the web and social media on screen via a smartphone.

Top-of-the-range Sport Nav models get new exterior features including 19-inch gunmetal alloy wheels LED lights, LED running lights and LED fog lights. Inside, Sport Nav models get an enhanced navigation system with three years of map updates.

An optional safety pack adds adaptive LED lighting which automatically avoids dazzling oncoming cars, plus lane keep assist and driver alert assist. There’s also a system for monitoring traffic when reversing that will even brake if it detects an imminent collision.

The engine range remains unchanged, with the option of a 2.0-litre petrol engine or a 2.2-litre diesel, the latter of which is offered in both front- and four-wheel drive forms, with a choice of manual or automatic transmission.
