Updated Alfa Romeo Giulietta now available
Alfa Romeo has updated the Giulietta for 2014 with lower emissions, tweaked styling and an improved interior. There are also improvements to standard equipment. The revised model is available to order now, priced from £18,235 - a £470 increase.
Externally, Alfa Romeo’s updated Volkswagen Golf rival gets new alloy wheel designs and new colour options, along with a revised grille and foglight bezels. The cabin gets a redesigned dashboard constructed from improved quality materials and now features a colour touchscreen system as standard.
This new system, called U-Connect, includes controls for Bluetooth connectivity, wireless music streaming and DAB radio as standard. Those who specify satellite navigation get a larger version of the same system with bird-eye view mapping. The cabin also gets revised seats, door trims and a new steering wheel.
Engines have been improved – all have reduced emissions and improved fuel economy. There are four to choose from initially – a 1.4 TB petrol with 120PS, a 1.4 TB petrol MultiAir with 170PS, a 1.6 JTDM-2 diesel with 105PS and a 2.0 JTDM2 diesel with 150PS. The latter has 10PS more than the outgoing 2.0-litre diesel, and a 175PS version is due later this year.
Trim levels have been revised – there are now four: Progression, Distinctive, Exclusive and Sportiva Nav. Pricing details for the new model are below:
