New small Chevrolet SUV on the way

Chevrolet is to introduce a new small SUV called the Trax at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. It’s set to go on sale in Spring 2013, and Chevrolet promises it will offer “flexibility, great fuel economy, and car-like handling.”

It's similar in size and shape to the Vauxhall Mokka, with which it is likely to share various mechanical comonents, including engines. 

The Trax will arrive in dealerships shortly after the Cruze station wagon and the Malibu, a Mondeo sized saloon car, both of which are due at the end of 2012. We expect it to be priced from around £15,000, allowing it to compete with the Nissan Qashqai.
