Paris Motor Show 2012 Hyundai launches i30 three-door

Hyundai has revealed the three-door version of the new i30 at the Paris Motor Show. The three-door i30 is the sister car to the forthcoming Kia Pro_Cee'd which is also being shown at the Paris show.

Like its Kia counterpart, the three-door i30 is quite different from the normal five-door hatchback and although not as striking as the Pro_Cee'd, it's still a good looking coupe design with an upswept rear window and longer doors.

There's a new, black mesh insert and central bar on the hexagonal grille along with sportier fog lights made up of round spots connected to LED daytime running light strips. The mesh theme continues on the clusters and there's also a redesigned lower bumper. At the back there are horizontal, sculpted fog lights and a black insert at the bottom along with 16-inch alloy wheels.

Like the rest of the i30 range, the three-door comes with the Flex Steer system which allos you to change the steering assistance. There will be four engines and five power outputs along with six-speed manual and automatic gearboxes. The cleanest model will be the 1.6-litre CRDi with 128PS which emits just 97g/km of CO2.
