Geneva Motor Show 2015: 184PS Golf GTD Estate coming April

Volkswagen has launched the first Golf GTD estate at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. Sales of the 184PS diesel model will start in April, with prices from around £27,500.

Powered by a 2.0-litre diesel, the Golf GTD Estate has a peak torque output of 380Nm and can get from 0-62mph in 7.9 seconds, yet has impressive official economy of 64.2mpg.

Externally the GTD Estate gets unique bumpers, smoked rear lights, flared sills, black roof rails, xenon headlights and 17-inch alloy wheels, along with 15mm lower suspension. The seats are upholstered with tartan and there is a golf ball gear lever.

Sales are due to start in April for deliveries in June 2015. Pricing and final specification will be announced shortly before sales begin.
