I don't know about the specifics of your diff,but i have in the past fitted Granada 2.4 diffs into Sapphire 2.0 without any problems.The Sapphire were Police spec and had the uprated 2.4 diff and either the 2.0 or 2.4 diff would go straight in.Try it.

It will probably fit, but may well have a different gearing ratio. Diesels normal have higher (lower numerically) gearing.

They are differnt ratios and if you fit a diesel diff you will have a higher speed for the same RPM. However for normal use you will find that 5th gear is only for the motorway and the car will labour in town only usinf 1st 2nd and 3rd. Peter

Research carefully;there are two different sizes of diff,two sizes of prop-shaft,three different sets of half-shafts and four final drive ratios from 3.14 to 3.92.
