Its not 'overpriced' but the dealer is certainly milking its worth. Mileage isnt the only indicator of wear but low mileage sells.
Do traders really mark up a £6k car expecting to get knocked by down over a grand? I guess they always price high to give themselves movement and of course it's hard to gauge how much they will accept.
It depends on the car, at the end of the day this is still a 10 year old car which doesnt fit the profile of what most people are buying. If it was a diesel Focus then he'll stand his ground more as there'll be more people interested in it.
But 3 series convertible is a car with a strong following, he might not get the phone ring off the hook frantically but people will want it. Its still a desirable car.
How much would you expect one like this to go for?
I dont know how they've acquired it, what they gave on it or what it owes them but i'd go in low at £4.5k and try and get him nearer the £5k mark personally.
