Ford Mondeo Mk 3 - new clutch - boumph

My 54 plate Mondeo needs a new clutch. I have been advised that the duel mass fly wheel can be replaced by a solid type. Can any body give me an idea if this is a good move, and approximately how much would it cost together with a new clutch?

It will be a lot cheaper than the DMF and you will notice no difference ask a few different garages for a price.

im told that the DMF flywheel is on the way out.car has done 270,000 miles so i assume a new clutch would be a good idea.have found 2 solid flywheel kits on the internet at £259.Good buy???not much else wrong with it!

Thats a lot cheaper than the replacing with another DMF.

I did not know this route but with a 2.2 it would be £375 for my kit. I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has gone this route.

i would think 270000,miles from a cluch if replacing original is very good milage.
