Ford Fiesta Zetec 1.4i 2003 model - Cold start - andrewws

In the last couple of days when starting my car from cold the auto choke does not cut in, I have to rev the car for a few minutes for it to warm up so it will tick over,I have just had the coolent censor replaced has someone suggested it could be that at fault but found it not to be that, anybody got ideas what this could be?

The coolant sensor is not for the temp gauge did you fit the correct one?

Failing that throttle body may require a clean and the motor.

Yes the right censor was fitted....It was suggested that i take the car to a ford dealer to be put on the machine

I have not taken the car yet,I was trying to sort the problem myself without taking it to the ford dealer

If there is a fault it will have logged a code to tell the fault.

This code needs reading Ford can do it as will most good garages.
