Vw Passat 1.9TDI 52 reg - Car not starting - vw4life

Car has done 88000 miles which is not bad for its age and has always been regulary serviced. Just recenly the car will start from cold but not once warmed up AA sprayed easy start into air intake and car started first time, been in garage for 2 days now and they cant find the problem plenty of diesel from the pump but it is not getting to the injectors.

There are no blockages within the fuel filter which is new but the car doesn't seem to have any fuel for starting only when running. Can't find any air leaks and or any crimped pipes.

As stated car started first time with Easy Start in the air intake pipe but won't start on its own. Otherwise I will have to tow it to a VW garage at massive expense.

Get 3 or 4 people to push you and bump start it. If is starts OK then you have a cranking problem, could be low voltage and the fuel cut off if dropping out, an earthing problem or immobiliser. You ideally need VagCom to monitor the live data whilst starting. Regards Peter

Also possible that a broken earth may be causing electical interference whilst cranking. You ideally need VagCom to monitor the live data whilst starting. This could also be a low output from Hall sender -G40 the crankshasft position sensor. Regards Peter
