08 Boot unlocking by itself - unhappy
I have 2008 mazda 6 sport,I have a problem with the boot opening by itself when i am driving or parked. has anybody else had this problem, As the dealer says they have not had this problem before, they are going to replace the lock first, to see if this corrects the problem,any ideas???

I have a 08 Mazda 6 TS2 and the boot has in the past poped up when driving. Also there is no way to open the boot from inside the car. The button on the boot does not let me open it when the car is unlocked. The only wat it will open is by pressing the boot open button on the key fob.

hi does your boot not open on first press intermitantly? does the boot button on the out side of the car look badly cracked if so you probally need a new button (this quite common).

I have a new shape Mazda 6 SL Saloon and the boot opens itself at random intervals, seems to be more common when the sun has been shining on it.

1) The button on the boot rarely works.
2) The rubber on the button on the boot has a crack in it.
3) Sometimes unlocking the central locking will trigger the boot to open.
4) Sometimes if I push the boot open button on the remote the boot will open and continue to make clicking noises.
5) Sometimes when I shut the boot it will open again straight away on its own accord
6) Once it opened whilst I was stopped at traffic lights

Someone mentioned it could be a faulty solenoid.

Anyway, I hope this will be covered under Mazda warranty as the car is inly 18 months old.

hay der i have a mazda6 sport and have more or less the same prob. my boot will not open by the back button will only open from the fob after pressing it a few times, there is also a crack after appearing in the rubber button for the boot. did you get this resolved as i am major peeed off with this.

hi just take it to your dealer there is a modified button should take under 1 hour for them to fit will be under warrenty (so long as your cars under 3years or 60k miles)

Did you get this problem fixed? Mine is doing the same thing and it's out of warranty. Thanks I'd appreciate an answer
