I'm new to this forum and found it while searching for other people's experiences with leaking Eolys bags.
Recently I noted that there were what looked like oil stains on our driveway, I thought they came from the old Volvos of my brother and father in law... This weekend I noticed that there was a fresh 10 cm puddle under the righthand side rear wheel of my wife's 207 Hdi. Peering under the car I noticed that the fluid came from the plastic casing of the Eolys container.
We took the car to the dealer and when a mechanic opened the plastic casing the Eolys fluid just poured out on the workshop floor. The car has done just over 40000 km and there is no visible damage to the plastic casing. The Eolys bag is out of stock and they don't know when they can recieve a new one.
My questions to you experts are:
1) Have you ever heard of an Eolys bag springing a leak?
2) At 80000 km when you need to fill up with new Eolys, do you reuse the bag or does the fluid come in a new bag that is just hooked up? In other words, is the bag supposed to last the life time of the car?
The reason for my questions is that this is a Swedish car and in Sweden cars are sold with a 24 month warranty, our car is of course 27 months by now... On the other hand Swedish consumer law states that there is a 36 month warranty for manufacturing related faults. I think it is very likely that there was some sore of problem when the bag was manufactured or installed on the production line, but so far the dealer has only said they will look into it.

never even seen an eloys bag,have all been plastic fuel tanks so far on every car that ive worked on.
it must a inferior quality product.
kick up a stink and they will replace it under warranty.

If that's correct then I would imagine that quietly suggesting to Peugeot that unless they deal positiveliy with your issue then you will suggest to the authorities that Peugeot ought to recall every 207 so equipped sold in Europe to replace the bag.

You may already know of it. I registered and got free access to all Peugeot service parts lists! When I enter the serial number of my wife's car the site even knows the warranty start date for the car!
It doesn't seem to be possible to post pictures here, otherwise I would have posted the exploded view of the fuel tank and surrounding parts. There it is; "1500 GA - Additive bag"
The bag costs £132 (translated from Swedish kronor).
Now I know the part number and I think I will pay 4.50 Euros to get one hour's access to the repair instructions section of the site. Hopefully that will give me some more ammunition when dealing with the dealer :-)

My wife's car is OPR # 10979, so she should get this after market repair! I wonder if they ever read these info flashes in the dealer network? They haven't phoned back since they had the car last Monday even though they said they would check it, so I reckon they don't care... after all it only took me minutes to find the info.
Can't wait to phone them in the morning :-)
I hope one of the other info flashes won't happen to us; "Door falls off when opened"!!!

Based on my previous experience with Peugeot dealers, I wouldn't trust them to accurately read a newspaper, never mind a technical bulletin. They couldn't fix faults on petrol injection systems of 15 years ago, although were very good at charging you for doing so.
The modern diesel is like witchcraft in comparison. You'd be better off having the local kindergarten try and fix it.

First, thank you for the idea with peugeot's service page (I also needed some info)
I own a Mitsubishi Outlander with PSA's 2.2L diesel engine, which, of course, has an EOLYS bag. Unfortunately mine is also leaking :(
I managed to somehow hit the ground with the eolys box while driving through a construction site and it started leaking (small quantities)
Dealer's Service shop inspected the car, but, although there is no major physical damage to it (only a few scratches) they say the whole contents of the bag will dump to the floor if they open the plastic case (much like you described it happening)
Bad news is that replacement part is quoted at about 800 EUR. Good news is that 500 of them will be covered by insurance.
So, for my part:

Yes, mine does, after getting hit.

not sure, I will update you if I get my hands on the old part after they replace it
