05 2.0D Stiff gearbox - anyone else have problems? - Xtype
I have a 2005 Jag xtype 2.0D. It has 98k on the clock and entering it into first gear it feels a bit stiff. Has anyone else had this problem on a Jag or Mondeo - I guess they are the same gearbox.
Also what is the solution? Can the oil be changed on these or are they sealed units?

Is it ok with the engine off. This could be a clutch drag issue. Regards Peter

Whats it like engaging reverse. If the same problem then likely to be clutch drag, if not then possible gear selector. Cheers
