Can anyone tell me where to place Axle Stands at the front of the Passat. I need to get underneath and check for a leaking pipe, but I want to be safe. Any help would be appreciated.

Front end of the sills. A little indent indicates the position. See the owners handbook. You may need to pad the stands to minimise damage. ATS managed tyre changes OK and I think they had rubber blocks on their trolley jacks.

I prefer the chunky blister with the alignment hole in it behind and inbound of the rear arm bushes. I have a block of dense marine ply with a recess in it to fit the buildout mound. At the rear I use either the main beam mounts if I want the beam down or the surface under the end of the beam tubes near where the shockers are attached. Regards Peter

Thanks for the info, will look for the indent on the sills.
