Ford Focus (1998 - 2004) - 99 1.8 Glow-Plug light flashing & car loses power

99 1.8 Glow-Plug light flashing & car loses power - tradelady
My car has had a replacement reclaimed engine (V reg), a reconditioned fuel pump and a new cam-belt earlier this year. The car starts okay but after driving a while the glow plug flashes and it loses power. I was able to restart it, however the same thing happened after a short while. Does anybody know what can cause this? As I've had quite a lot (and expensive!) work done I am apprehensive about garages!

the ecu has logged a code fault you should get it read by a dealer you can trust. there are loads of threads on this site about flashing glow plug lights

Yes I found some useful discussions on here. I had someone do a test and they found some faults relating to the accelerator sensor, got a new pedal and fingers crossed it's running okay. Thanks for you response!
