RENAULT KANGOO 1.9 DIESEL CODED STOP SOLANOID
hello, i have just fitted a diesel pump to my renault kangoo and it didnt pump any fuel through to the injectors , fuel got to the pump but no further . the kangoo is fitted with an imobiliser and i think this stops the fuel stop valve salanoid from oppening using a code. now could i have a new code added , or the old 1 changed , or do i have to take the old solanoid off and fit to the new pump? its a lucas pump and the kangoo is a 1999 model f8q engine non turbo with a mechanical pump (not commo nrail) any ideas please
cheers carl

You'll either have to fit your old pump, or get someone with the right equipment to re-match the new pump to your immobilizer.

thanks for the reply , just wondering has the actual solanoid coded ? because its put on with sheer bolts (security bolts) and you have to drill and use easy out to take the solanoid off.
any info would be helpfull

The actual solenoid isn't coded; but it's buried under the immobilizer unit on the pump which is.

Removing the break-head bolts with a drill or chisel usually trashes the circuitry in the immob block.

if i were to remove the bolts and it mucks up the immobiliser could i still change the solanoid and run it without the immobiliser?
if so would i run a live from the ignition?
help please

It's been done; your insurer might object.
