hi
i nearly run out of deisel, went to the petrol station and put some in and on my way home a message came up anti polution fault the power went but came back really quickly and now i have a yellow light on dashboard i think its the engine light sorry dont know much about cars as i am a woman can you advise me before i take it to the garage

Lights coming on can be a number of things,
first fill the tank with diesel (I use Xmile diesel its a new green fuel)
next check the engine oil,
then check the water levels for the radiator and the wind shield washer,
also check the light is not brake wear indicator or/and ABS.
If you get a fault, the problem might reset itself after switching off the ignition for 30 minutes.

It's possible that your car [year and engine type unknown] simply sucked in some air when the tank was low and the fuel pressure fell low enough to flag a fault-code and that generic fuelling fault warning.

It may well clear itself after a few starts; but, if not, get your local garage to plug it in and read the code.
