I would say don't bother. I bought one for my FIAT Coupe and wished I hadn't bothered.
The problem is if the wind moves the cover around it damages the paint on the car.
The cover dulled the painwork round the rear three-quarter panels of my car.

And in no wind, a wet car under a carcover will ensure water penetrates door and window channels. Green rubber seals anyone?
A red car which has started to oxidise will continue to oxidise with nromal use.. unless of course you keep the cover on when driving:-) (Reminds me of US style car bras... but with better coverage).
Imo anyone with a car cover may suffer from a well know medical condition .. something retentive... or just plain sad old git..:-)

Thanks for the feedback. The better covers seem to be priced at around £100 to £150.00. How many gallons of T-cut can I get for that? And how long before I get down to bare metal?

The £5 version could wreck you paintwork. I had the paint wrecked on an old Scimitar GTE so was very careful not to do the same with the Stang.
My cover was purchased from www.europasvt.com and cost around £200 and should last 3 years. The cover is completely breathable and fleece lined and it only goes on the car when it has been freshly washed and dried. The cover is bespoke for my actual car and fits like a glove, it has a strap that fits under the car so heavy winds will not take it away. Mine has been on for a year and the paintwork is as new with no damage at all. The cover has faded but it is still in excellent condition and I will definitely buy another in 2 years time.

Mine was strapped to the car too. I guess the winds in central Scotland were a little more forceful during the winter months.

Covers not ideal but my problem is the birds keep pooing on the car now they poo on the cover which is better for the car

From the sound of Pica's car cover, the kind of weather it would be useful in is the kind of weather I would not want to be out in putting it on the car..
