Mazda Xedos 9 heater stuck on - dxp55
Coming home from work lunchtime and thought its hot in here - turned heater control down and nothing happened - the heater is controlled by a rotary nob - just dial in temp -It did seem to be up full but temp was set at 22c-- function to vents is press button - temp sensor on top of dash and believe cabin temp one is in passenger foot well - tried A/C on full cold and still red hot - could I be looking at electrical or mechanical - going to get handbook out and see if there is a fuse for heating but after that I will be up a gum tree - so if anyone has any ideas- anything at moment would help - Engine temp normal.

Sorted I think - the owner book was no help so I sat down to think it over logically -- Then I remembered what I did when my computer used to crash which was turn it off - well car had been off for a few hours so went down garden and cut a few sticks from hazelnut tree and bound them together - as the car is heavier than a computer tower I couldn't throw it across room so said to it "if you don't work properly I will thrash you to an inch of your life" - did my Basil Fawlty bit and lo and behold it worked OK - when I got home the heater was so hot you could hardly put hand in front of it but now worked fine - sat there and moved controls to every position and heat setting - A/C worked fine so keeping my fingers crossed. - hoping it was just stuck through not a lot of use.
