Need to get a couple of smallish steel parts stripped and recoated (the original powder coat is starting to bubble). Is there an easy-ish way I can remove it before dropping the parts off at the coaters?

I don't know whether all powder coating is the same, but a few years back we had some bathroom taps that were white and the coating was chipped. I replaced the taps for chrome, but couldn't get the bath handles. Ordinary paint stripper worked fine and only took a few minutes to work. The handles were chrome underneath.
