Hi - my car is a write-off, and I need to know whether the salvage value that the insurance company is offering to sell me my car at is accurate or not. Any ideas? Its a 1995 Peugeot 306 XND with 176,000 on the clock. It has been serviced every 6k/6 months from new, and I want to hang on to it!!!! Do they negotiate if you think the price they're offering is too steep?
Thanks!
Jeremy

Ring up your local scrapyard and find out how much they'd give you for it, in its current state. Unlikely to be more than £50 I'd have thought.....

Is it illogical? It must be Citroen....

Agree with RW - it's worth buttons.

This sounds good. Thanks for the advice. I only hope the insurance company goes for it.

Middle of last year my brother had is 306 S16 written off and he bought it back off the insurance company for about £85.
The scrap value of your vehicle will be very very little.
