Repair or Upgrade?

Repair or Upgrade? - Round The Bend
Driving round the M25 (near J19, I think) I saw the reason for the roadworks were stated as "bridge parapet upgrade".

I wonder if anyone knows what sort of upgrade we can expect. Is this spin for "repairs" or will we be seeing some magnificent architectural improvement - perhaps in the Art Deco style?

"Upgrade" is the latest trendy word for "improvement" . Before I retired it was at the top right-hand corner of our Bullfaeces Bingo card!

What you saw, appears to be nearly the finished article. The M25 there I think goes over the Met tube line from Rickmansworth to Chorleywood. Certainly looks more robust than it used to.
