A 14% rise,eh - proves, surely, the long and widely held view that most inflation (i.e. rising prices) is Government-led. Soon, interest rates will rise, via the Bank of England MPC .. because inflation is on an upwards path.

Meh. Since Maggie, no government dare increase progressive taxation, ie income tax. So they find regressive taxes to target instead. Brought it on ourselves as a country.
