Is it me or is Zip Wax a very 'limp wristed' cleaner?

Anything tougher than dust or dirt it just won't shift.

Luckily I have a spray bottle of Muc Off for bikes which made short work of bugs, berry juice, random stuck on things, etc.

Not very impressive though.

Zip Wax shampoo has been around for years. I don't rate it much either but have bought it on the odd occasion when I've not been able to get my normal stuff - Carplan Triplewax shampoo.

Halfords stocks the Autoglym range, -- as good a most of its rivals.

sorry oldgit, I removed the original comment and your reply, but forgot to add a comment as to why I had done so. Nothing wrong with your post, but as it quoted stunorthants post, I had to remove it as well.

Oh, the reason why I removed the comment in the first place was that an allegation of a "particular" shop selling nothing but shoddy goods was made and therefore falling foul of the sites no naming / shaming rules.

There was a story that before Turtle wax was launched in the States years ago two pilot launches under different names were made in far apart places, the idea being to see whether marketing it as a premium or a "value" product would be more profitable (the waxes were identical). The premium exercise won out and Turtle wax was promoted accordingly.

I use Farecla G3 as it removes muck and polishes really easily. Quite expensive at about £18 for a litre bottle. Take a look at their website at: www.farecla.com/

I think Turtle Was shampoo is great, and I'm addicted to the smell of it.
It also usually wins the Autoexpress shampoo test.
I must confess the only others I have used in recent years are Comma, Tripplewax and Zymol wash for comparison.
