I would almost certainly think so - almost all car on the market bar the really puny ones have the rev counter these days.

Hey! No fair!

How many times have the rest of us been left looking like idiots!? Bah. Favouritism, that's what it is. :^D

How strange that it's not in the spec (I looked!).

Perhaps it's such a 'given' now, that it's not even mentioned. I reckon all Focus's would probably have a rev counter, and it's unthinkable that the Sport version wouldn't.

Hi,

On the Mark 2, both the LX and Sport have the rev counter. I have the 1.8 TDCi model and its a lovely car.

regards

Has anyone ever been in a Focus with no rev counter ? (Adam ??)

My ears are burning!

I'm not sure for definite but I think all Focuses have rev counters. All UK ones anyway.

If a model wasn't going to have one then my money would be on the CL but I'm almost sure these have them on too.

My son has the same model (three-door Zetec) and it's the proverbial poo off a shovel when given its head.

It doesn't have wheels as standard. Well that's what the ad says.

A standard UK spec Ford Focus 1.6 TDCi (any trim) will have a rev counter.

Which begs the questions, is yours an import with a non-standard spec, where did you buy it from ?

You could have serious problem trying to sell it without a rev counter and a non-standard spec !
Some Ford dealers refuse to service such cars.

Hoity-toity... Internal Ford racism or what? You wouldn't want to have anything to do ever again with a dealer who took an attitude like that. Contemptible, and all too modern.

Apparently it's a policy to not offer warrantee support for imported cars, so I was told anyone by a dealer.

If the car was bought in an EU member country, this practice is illegal. It cost VAG a good few million Euros in the European Courts not so long ago when they were reported by some UK customers for refusing to honour warranties on EU imported VW's. And rightly so.

Ford have a partial workaround in that year 2 and 3 of the warranty is provided by the dealer rather than Ford itself, but they have to honour the first 12 months by law.
