Hi, I have just seen how scarily easy it is to find the keycode for my RDS-5000. Is it worth me "removing" the printed serial number in an effort to render it useless to thiefs, or is there another easy way for them to find out the code?. I'd rather they are left with a useless piece of scrap than a fully functioning radio should they steal it?

These are so easy to decode / recode even without the serial number I wouldnt even bother taking it out the dash to peel the lable off.
