vw passsat brake problem

vw passsat brake problem - bond4
I drive a 98 model vw passat, occassionally when I brake the car accelerates, and i have to brake again any ideas on what may cause this ?

Anything from an air leak (check servo hose) to the bulkhead moving on application of brake pedal,really needs two people one to push brake pedal one to check under bonnet and under pedals in the car...
