Okay its not a full HPi, but it is free. Just need to enter the cars numberplate and an email address, SPAM WARNING it does state that you are giving them permission to pass your email address onto third parties, so it might be wise to use yahoo/hotmail etc.

if you want to know if its stolen and the local police station isnt being helpful (they used to be?) then i suggest that tradings standards can help to tell you if the car is stolen...........or hpi ............

If you happen to notice someone hanging onto the windscreen wipers shouting abuse, I would say that this could be taken as a key indicator that the vehicle you are driving just may be acquired without the owners permission?
