So do you know all about.... - deepwith
your car? Two drivers have amused us recently. Firstly the person in a clio complaining about glare from cars behind ......who had always wondered what that lever was on the rear-view mirror .... arghhhh. Secondly the chap in his BMW who was constantly fiddling with the speed limiter cos he didn't want to get a speed ticket (had 6 points from one camera) and manually took it out of speed when needed, rather than touching the accelerator.

Aye, but some people have no interest in cars - my brother for instance bought a 306 a few years ago and out of interest a few weeks later I asked him about it
Me "Model?" Him - Hatchback (it's an estate!)
No I mean trim level -Don't know
Has it a sunroof /electric windows - Don't think so
Do you press a button to open windows? I don't think so
Remote locking? Don't know, but I use the key.
What size engine - Don't know
Is it petrol or diesel - Ooh, never thought about that but I suppose it's petrol, at least that's what I put in it and it goes alright.
Getting good MPG - Don't know, I just fill it up every Friday evening.

I gave up!

Mind you, that has just reminded me that when he was 17 and I was living away from home, he bought a motor scooter. On return home I asked him how it was going and he said fine apart from one problem. After about 20 miles on it the back wheel seemed to sieze and it stopped and he had to sit with it for half an hour, even though the engine started because every time he tried to set off it stalled. It didn't matter much because he rarely went more than a few miles. I gave it a quick once over and found that the gearbox (I think, it's a long time ago) had no oil in it whatsoever, hence it siezed when hot. Quick top up and all was well!
