Squashed 300C - PST
Local news reports a disgruntled man destroying a house with a hired digger.....as the camera pans round there is an 06 reg 300C half buried in the rubble.

I just thought I'd share this with Murphy the Cat - I don't know if there's any collective mourning that needs to happen.....if it's any consolation I thought it was a Bentley at first.

If that's what he does when disgruntled, I'd hate to be around him when he gets a real strop on.

Hi PST

on the 300C car forum that I'm also on (no surprise their), the man is getting messages of sympathy from as far away as Australia and America.!!!!
ASAIK, he wasn't a fellow forum member, so as a gesture of solidarity with our (close to, but not actually) brother 300C owner, I'm going to tone down the grin that I wear whilst driving my car for the rest of the afternoon..

MTC

p.s. I wonder if he realises that it'll take him 3-4 months to get another 300C CRD ?

Was it really a CRD ?
The Sun reported the value of both cars as 80K pounds - that would be top of the range for both the 300c and the crossfire. Not that the Sun is accurate on anything.

I did hear that the company who rented out the digger haven't been paid their 450 pounds yet.

Aye its a CRD - it has the extra vents undeneath the numberplate for additional cooling that only the CRD has.

The base price for a 300C CRD is £25750 and even with every possible Chrysler option it only goes up to about £28000 (yes you do get one hell of a lot of car for your money). Big wheels etc can add thousands to the car, but this car had standard wheels.

Perhaps (shock horror) The Sun wasn't being completely factual (alledgedly).

I was emailed the following pictures sometime last week with the subject header "Bundoora Holden"

This is what's left of a new VY HSV Clubsport at the Watson Holden in Bundoora dealers after a 19 year old test drove it. He was driving it back and was going WAY too fast around the corner, up the gutter, travelled the 10 metres to the gates, mounted some cars and landed as you see story is cops were chasing him and it is estimated that he hit at 160 km/h
