I feel rather stupid asking this but can anyone throw any light on the length of a Ford Mondeo warranty.
I have just purchased an 05 Mondeo from Motorpoint and am unsure if I have a one year or three year Ford warranty.

Or even - if its an import, a two year warranty.
Only Ford can tell you based on the vin number.

If it's not an import and it has been serviced to the Ford schedule, using Ford parts, by a VAT registered garage, then you should have the balance of the 3 year Warranty.

When I had an 01 Mondeo, the second and third year warranty was a dealer backed warranty and so needed main dealer servicing. Not sure if that's still the case.

True, but the first service doesn't have to be dealer and being an 05 model, in question, it may only have had the first one.

According to Ford, all services within the first three years can be done outside the dealer network, and as long as the garage is VAT registered, and all Ford parts are used, the warranty will be held, as far as i know.

All UK Ford Supplied are 2 Year Full Warranty with a 3rd Year Insurance Warranty that is not so comprehnesive as the 1st 2 years worth of cover.
Both the warranties depend on servicing & use of Ford parts
