Rover T series Timing - professor
Can you help, I have a t series rover engine 2 Litre 820si.
The head has just been machined and returned to me. The question I have is in refitting the camshaft timing sprockets in the correct position. They have slots from the central bolt hole marked "in" and "exh" with corresponding drive pins in the camshafts. My question is which way round do the pulleys fit onto the drive pins? The timing marks are also marked inlet and exhaust, and these should line up horizontally, with I think the inlet markings on the inlet side of the head. Also with the engine set at 90 btdc, what position should the cam lobes be in?
Thanks
