My dad has bought a 2003 toyota camry 2.4 litre.
His first question is, he has heard all toyota's of this year have recall. Where would he find the information about the recall on this car.
Second. The car is a manual, but has a button called cruise on the steering wheel. I assume this is cruise control, but can anyone enlightedn me.
Thanks

Why not ask a Toyota agent.

Hi
I advised my dad to do that, but he thinks I might be able to find it online. I think it is easier that he just goes down a toyota garage and enquires there. The only thing is the nearest garage is 10 miles away!!

No reason why a manual can't have cruise control.

Espada III - well if you have a family and need a Lamborghini, what else do you drive?

Indeed - My Manual has cruise.

And with cruise control, how would he activate it. Do you need to be in fifth gear over a set speed?
Thanks

Varies from car to car but you wouldn't need to be in fifth.
On mine you simply drive at the speed you want and then press the cruise button.

On the manual Focus and auto Mondeo in my household you just press the cruise start button and then press the speed up button.
A minimum speed of the car determines if it will activate.

On my old Carlton ( electro-mechanical cruise control) it would work in any gear, above 25 mph. Switched itself off as soon as you changed gear.

Yes, the CC on a manual car will usually deactivate when the brake or clutch are depressed.
