Im after a good car air con engineer in Leicester, as my car requires a regass.

Apart the usual yellow pages of course

Sorry what i mean was nothing wrong at all with YP, i can ring them myself, but often there are those guys who don?t advertise as its something they do as extra revenue but are old fashioned refrigeration engineers who can think outside the box, not the 'gas, fill it with dye and go' types which is what I want to avoid

I have someone who will come to my home and do it for cash (!) for £45 and seems to know what he?s talking about and is a full time refrigeration engineer in the commercial sector.

All other suggestions are still most welcome

IIRC from previous threads is that regassing is not the only thing to consider. Good Car A/C specialists are more likely to know where the problem site are on specific models and hence be able to sort out problems efficiently.

I know a chap in Bagworth, Leicestershire. He works mobile for the dealers or you can go to his premises. MAC Aircon, Station Rd. Bagworth (near Coalville) 01530 230013 - ask for Martin.
You won't find anyone cheaper (about £40 if you go to him or £50 if he comes to you). He's got all the kit and 10+ years experience.

Aprilia's rec sounds good but if you need another to try - No experience of their work on air con - but they are damned good in other respects, very helpful, reasonable prices and open 6 full days a week - have used them for years for servicing our Cits and they know their business and they are now advertising in their workshop that they are doing air con servicing /recharging
