I have a 2002 three door corsa which when driving on uneven roads there is a rattling sound coming from both sides but mainly the drvivers side. I was wondering whether anybody else had come across this problem, and how it was resolved. Any advice would be greatly appreciatled, as you could proberly guess it is rather ignoring.

Oil your door hinges - thoroughly.

Does it do it with the door open?
Does it only do it with the window open?
Sometimes the glass can rattle when open any amount.

Hi thanks for your reply the answer to your questions are:
1/ It does not seem to rattle whent the door is open.
2/ it does it when the window is both open and closed.
Cheers

I would have said that it *could* be actually the door stay that needs greasing.

If this has a deadlock,it could be that thats broken away and rattling in door?,Just a thought but happened on FIL`s car 98

My wife's 3 door Corsa (also 2002) has had a rattle occasionally from new exactly as you describe. Some days it is there, some days not & it needs to be rough roads to make it do it. I thinks it is inside the two side panels beside the rear seat or even the panels themselves, but it has never worried her enough for us to investigate.

smack the doorstays with a hammer as dd says if this doesnt cure it which im sure it will at least it will make you feel better.:)

Is it a rattle or a squeak? Had no end of trouble with an Omega. Try silicon grease on the door seals. If here is one at the top of the door on the roof pull it forward and clear out the crud and put some of the grease behind it.
An Omega service bulletin recommended loosening the door locks and getting some lubricant between it and the frame then re tightening.
